Committed to Excellence?  Join our Team.

As noticeable by our research portfolio, the Center for Health Information and Communication (CHIC) is a dynamic, interdisciplinary team. CHIC currently has 24 investigators and fellows and approximately 40 supporting staff members. We work in a large medical center with over 2,000 employees giving us the opportunity to conduct our research in a diverse setting.

Fellowship Opportunities

The Center for Health Information and Communication (CHIC) is committed to the professional development of junior faculty and research fellows in VA funded postgraduate training programs in implementation science, system redesign and healthcare informatics. Our Center currently has two VA-funded fellowship programs including a Medical Informatics Fellowship and a Patient Safety Fellowship. Collectively, these programs can fund up to four fellows per year. For more information, click here.

Research Staff

Our staff is an equally diverse team ranging from support assistants to research management to data management. If you have an interest in research, we likely have a position to fit you. Many of our staff have previous research experience or experience working in a healthcare setting.

Here are a few examples of positions we have in CHIC:

  • Research Assistant
  • Project Manager
